Last weekend Mark was in Sydney as invited faculty for the ANZ Masters Fracture Forum. The meeting was held in the rooms at the Old Mint, and was attended by faculty from Australia, New Zealand and the USA with delegates attending from all over Australia.
The meeting is designed as an interactive forum to discuss the management of difficult fractures in all parts of the body, although Mark was asked to present cases on Pelvic fractures and Femur fractures. There were 2 full days of discussion, with regular themes being the management of infection and non-healing fractures. Although there as faculty Mark always leaves these meetings with several learning points, and new ideas and strategies for challenging cases in the future. It is also a good opportunity to catch up with old friends and colleagues around the globe, and to make new ones!
